Television and movie producer Jeff Franklin called on Richard Landry to substantially reconceive an unfinished house in Beverly Hills. The architect found inspiration in Andalusia design. He carved the kitchen out of the former family room. Copper, brass and steel were used for the pot rack and the range and pizza oven hoods. Wolf range, microwave and convection oven completed the luxury of this antique kitchen.

Seeking to preserve and update the house they commissioned from Richard Barancik in 1953, Chicagoans Howard and Doris Conant hired Margaret McCurry, of Tigerman McCurry Architects. The kitchen, formerly a narrow galley, was expanded and given terrazzo floors, stainless-steel countertops, walnut cabinetry and a substantial granite-topped island for casual dining and entertaining. Sub-Zero refrigerator works beautifully to complete this kitchen.
