The circular kitchen can fit in the smallest places, but it has, “storage capacity equivalent to 12 cupboards and a bench top length of approx 3 meters, equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven with microwave, range hood, sink and waste bin.” Also, it’s hot. The designers note, “The original Circle kitchen is an innovative high-tech compact kitchen concept for commercial and residential use. This 180° revolving kitchen design features all the characteristics of a traditional kitchen with an incredibly low demand on overall space, less than 1.8 sqm. Whether you are an architect, developer, interior designer, or property owner, you will be surprised at the diversity of new planning perspectives in the city and in the building construction as well as in the resort, hotel and urban development.”

Fevzi Karaman, a Turkish design student, created this small space concept kitchen which won a prize in design. Completely self contained, sleekly designed, with deco design influences, the work space on the “silverline” kitchen cupboard can also be used as a table. It’s a very forward looking design that can double as a nice piece of furniture too.
Idea Three: The Ekokook Kitchen Uses Earthworms for Waste Management

Worms are the engines behind Faltazi’s Ekokook kitchen. The designers Victor Massip and Laurent Lebot of Faltazi have created this concept system in which worms break down waste and water is recycled at the point where it is created: in the kitchen. The Ekokook kitchen includes ultraponic pods, resevoirs for collecting water and containers with earthworms that break down waste, which can be found underneath the sinks and hanging from the ceiling.

When you’re finished cooking and cleaning up, Dzmitry Samal’s ‘Kitchen for Singles’ folds up neatly like a jackknife. Lovely.
